We carefully review all applications to ensure the best possible match for both the cat and the adopter. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and is non-committal for both the applicant and Northport Cat Rescue.

We will contact all references listed on your application, including veterinarians and landlords where applicable. Please alert your references that we may contact them, as this will help speed up the process.

During the review of your application, our Adoption Coordinator may contact you to discuss your application, ask additional questions, and possibly request a home visit.

All of our cats and kittens are fully vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV, spayed or neutered, and microchipped prior to adoption.

Our adoption fee is $150 per cat or kitten. One hundred percent of these fees goes directly toward the care of our rescue animals, a cost that far exceeds the fees we collect. We rely on fundraisers and donations from generous members of our community to help cover the remaining expenses. For this reason, we do not offer discounts for adopting multiple cats, senior cats, kittens, or any other circumstances.
