Adoption Application

Thank you for your interest in adopting a cat from Northport Cat Rescue.

Please complete the adoption application below if you would like to be considered for adoption. Our goal is to find the best possible match for both our cats and their future families. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee approval for adoption.

Application Review Process

  • A valid government-issued photo ID is required on the day of adoption.

  • We will contact all references listed on your application, including veterinarians and landlords (when applicable). To help expedite the process, please let your references know that they may receive a call from us.

  • If you indicate that you own your home, we may verify homeownership through publicly available records as part of our standard adoption screening process.

  • If a veterinarian and/or landlord reference does not apply to your situation, please enter “000-000-0000” in the required phone number field(s) so the application can be submitted.

  • During the review process, our Adoption Coordinator may contact you to discuss your application, ask additional questions, and/or arrange a home visit.

Our Commitment to Our Cats

Before adoption, all Northport Cat Rescue cats and kittens receive:

  • Age-appropriate vaccinations

  • FIV/FeLV testing

  • Spay/neuter surgery

  • Microchipping

Adoption Fee

Our adoption fee is $150 per cat or kitten. One hundred percent of these fees goes directly toward the care of our rescue animals. The actual cost of veterinary care, food, shelter, and daily support greatly exceeds the adoption fee. We are able to continue our lifesaving work thanks to fundraising efforts and the generous support of our community.
