Meet Whitney & Wiley

Whitney and Wiley are bonded siblings who were rescued as kittens with two other siblings. The other two went on to find their homes, but Whitney and Wiley have now been with NCRA for over a year, still waiting for someone to choose them.

These two are not the kind of cats who immediately run up to people they do not know. They need time to become familiar with someone and decide that they feel safe. We know that when they are given the time and space they need, they can become comfortable and affectionate with the people they learn to trust.

Wiley is the more approachable of the two. He is the handsome boy with white markings on his face, chest, and paws. Once he is comfortable, he enjoys being petted and has an adorable habit of doing little somersaults while receiving attention.

Whitney is the brown tabby and the more cautious sibling. She may hiss when approached by someone she does not know, but this is her way of asking for space while she decides whether she feels safe. Whitney needs considerably more time to build trust. With patience and without pressure, her affectionate side begins to emerge.

Whitney and Wiley enjoy playing, watching the world around them, relaxing together, and spending time with one another. Their bond has helped them through every transition, and they must be adopted together.

They need a calm, patient home with someone who understands that trust cannot be rushed. They may not offer instant affection, but for the person willing to give them the chance they deserve, watching Whitney and Wiley gradually feel safe and open up will be incredibly rewarding.
