Northport Cat rescue association adoption process

We're so glad you'RE considering adopting with Northport Cat Rescue ASSOCIATION.

Our adoption process is easy.  Visit our cats, break out the cat wands, spend as much time as you need to know if it’s the right fit. Since adopting a cat is a family affair, bring the whole gang!

As we all know, true love can take time so there’s no need to rush. You may even want to come back for a second visit to see if it’s right.

Please take a moment to fill out an Adoption Application before you arrive.  To insure all of our furry friends are placed with loving families who will care for their new pet and provide them with a forever home, we call every reference provided by the applicant, including landlord if applicable and current/previous veterinarian used.

The application will help us make the perfect match for you and your family. You could simply complete and submit an application on our website to expedite the application process.  Copies of our applications are also available at any of our three locations.  You could either fax the completed form to (631) 651-5597, or just return it in person when you come to meet visit our furry friends.

Once your application has been approved, and you have decided which cat you'd like to adopt, we'll set up an appointment with you to sign some forms, collect application fee, and you will take the newest addition to your family to their loving home.


Adoption Fee

There is a modest $110 application fee.
100% of adoption fees collected go directly towards the care and veterinary costs of our rescued cats.



What’s included:

All of our rescue cats have been thoroughly examined and cleared for adoption by our veterinarians. 

Prior to adoption, all NCRA cats are:

  • spayed/neutered,

  • pre-screened for FIV/FELV

  • vaccinated, and

  • microchipped
